What We Are Working On
Collaboration with Lao Ministry of Health, Health Frontiers,
and the World Health Organization to:

Develop training series and integrate into medical curriculum for
residents at the Laotian medical school in area such as, how
to screen for and treat mental health problems.

Establish, in conjunction with Mahosot Hospital's Mental Health
Department, continuing educational program in mental health for
medical professionals and healthcare workers.

Recruit and coordinate activities of health professionals from
foreign countries who volunteered to visit Lao P.D.R. to share
their knowledge and expertise with Laotian colleagues.

Partner with
Save The Children Australia and Sayaboury Province
health officials to integrate a pilot program to prevent postpartum
depression with primary healthcare.

Partner with
Khon Kean University in Thailand to institutionalize
a psychiatric rotation and residency training for Laotian doctors
and nurses.
